Introduction: MaX Checkout

MaX checkout is a hosted checkout solution built on the KartmaX ecosystem.

It replaces the native checkout of an ecommerce storefront and takes full ownership of the checkout, payment, and order finalization flow.

Once a shopper is redirected to MaX Checkout, everything that happens next - from address capture to payment confirmation - is handled entirely by MaX Checkout.

MaX Checkout is designed to work across multiple ecommerce platforms.
It integrates seamlessly with storefronts like KartmaX, Shopify and Magento.

How MaX Checkout Works

Think of MaX Checkout as a clean boundary between shopping and buying.

At a high level, the flow looks like this:

  1. A shopper browses products and builds a cart on the storefront.
  2. When checkout is initiated, the shopper is redirected to MaX Checkout.
  3. From this point on, MaX Checkout handles:
    • Checkout UI and validation
    • Address and customer details
    • Payment authorization and confirmation
    • Order creation and finalization
  4. Once complete, the order is synced back to the connected platform and downstream systems.
tip

This separation allows MaX Checkout to evolve independently while keeping checkout behavior consistent across platforms.

Enablement Model

MaX Checkout is enabled using a predefined onboarding flow.

All required technical integrations for supported platforms are already built into the system.
Enablement involves completing configuration steps - no custom code or checkout development is required.

This makes it possible to activate MaX Checkout quickly and consistently across stores.
